Cherry Trees is pleased to announce the owner and director of award winning Guildford based NESA Robotics (and Nordic Eye Sales Accelerator) will be joining us as a new Trustee. 

Heath Williams is one of several new professionals to join the executive board. The role of a Trustee is voluntary, playing an important role in shaping the charity’s decision making process, governance, planning and strategy for the organisation for the future.  

With a fleet of thousands of robots, Heath's company has been pivotal during the pandemic, drafted into the nation’s schools, airports, train stations and even major power network sites to clean and covid-bust public spaces, garnering high profile media attention in the process. Now he will be turning his hand to something a little more human, supporting us with his experience. 

With Heath’s significant business credentials, forward thinking vision, networking power and appreciation for our charity, the appointment is an exciting chapter for both parties. Blue Ocean Robotics supplied by NESA Robotics have recently been awarded “Best Healthcare Robotics Company at MedTech Breakthrough awards 2021. 

A visit to Cherry Trees during the second national lockdown, December 2020, provided a complimentary robotic sterilisation of the playroom and communal areas, with a UVD (Ultra Violet Robot) working much to the intrigue of staff and children visiting that day.

It was during this visit that Heath was first introduced to our work. “On my visit to Cherry Trees with our UVD Robot in December I was impressed with the happy environment, seeing the dedication and commitment of the team and understanding just how important the work at Cherry Trees is. As part of Nordic Eye Venture Capital and owning companies such as NESA Robotics with a history of fast and aggressive growth I believe I can help Cherry Trees meet their ambitions to serve the help that is so needed by families. I would like to see Cherry Trees promoted through our connections with the media and specifically our TV connections.”

Heath’s appointment sees him joining long standing Trustee Adrian Thompson, Sue Walker and Mike Evans as well as other new appointees who make up the governing team this year.

June 1^st marks National Volunteers’ Week, when organisations, communities and charities across the UK thank the thousands of hours given by volunteers for the benefit of others, with Trustees included for their vital contribution.
