Volunteer For Us

Our volunteers are a lifeline to Cherry Trees and without the tremendous support of our amazing volunteers, Cherry Trees would not exist. They carry out vital activities and support that enables Cherry Trees to make a real difference to so many and without them we would not be able to provide the much needed respite that families with children with disabilities so desperately need.

We are always looking for people to join our friendly and busy team and volunteering with Cherry Trees is a tangible way to give something back to your community, as well as gain experience and meet new people. Volunteering can help you be part of something in the community and gives you the chance to try something new, utilise your talents and most of all have a great time whilst making a big difference.

Start your volunteering journey today!

If you are interested in any of our volunteer opportunities, have ideas for how you’d like to contribute, or possess skills or community connections that could help us in house, we’d love to hear from you.

Here are some of the volunteer roles available at Cherry Trees:

Chef / Cook

Help us prepare nutritious and tasty food for our children and care team. No previous or professional cooking experience is needed, just a joy of cooking and a desire to help.

Maintenance

From cleaning windows, to cutting grass and hedges, we are looking for regular help to keep Cherry Trees clean, tidy and safe.

Minibus Driver

Help us with the daily school run. Our care staff are there to take care of the children, so your focus will be on driving the bus. You do not need to have a special licence or take a further test. We do ask that you complete a 1 hour driving assessment but this is more about getting used to the vehicle.

Fundraising

From selling raffle tickets to helping with car parking, we are looking for volunteers to join our team to help us make our events extra special. There is no experience needed, and you are welcome to volunteer as little or as often as you would like.

Baking

If you love to bake, and would like to use your skill to make a meaningful difference to the lives of children with complex disabilities, then this could be the opportunity for you. We run a number of events throughout the year where we need delicious baked goods, and our amazing volunteers make this possible.

Cherry Champion Collection Tin

To help collect cans, and place more cans in the community - and count proceeds in the fundraising office.

Thank you so much for your support. You may also, only if you wish, choose to add the cost of the bank transaction fee to your donation.
