News & Stories News Magical market gets the Christmas season going The Christmas season kicked off in style for Cherry Trees with our fantastically festive Little Bookham Christmas Market and Grotto on Saturday 29th November. Almost 600 visitors joined us for a magical day of Christmas shopping, buying hand-crafted gifts from a unique array of local stallholders in the beautiful setting of the rustic Tithe Barn. The very wet weather wasn’t the kindest but it really didn’t matter as the festive spirit was in full flow, with music, food and fun aplenty. More than 70 children were thrilled with their visits to our special family Grotto where they were able to join their families for a story from Santa before receiving their gifts. We’re delighted to say that the day raised more than £5,000 for the children and families who rely on Cherry Trees, and we’ve had some wonderful feedback from both visitors and stallholders about just how special the event is. We’d like to say a huge thank you to our 32 fabulous stallholders, our generous sponsors DMH Stallard, and the wonderful duo Utterly Unique for providing some live Christmas music to keep us all entertained. We’re also very grateful to Manor House School for allowing us to use their car park for the event. And last – but by no means least - thank you to all of you who came along to shop, enjoy and donate to Cherry Trees. You made the day what it was and we are so grateful for your support and generosity. Manage Cookie Preferences
