We are delighted to share that Cherry Trees has been awarded Outstanding by Ofsted for a third year in a row. Our home was awarded the top possible rating by inspectors who praised the "exceptional progress” children make at Cherry Trees, when they visited back in December.

Cherry Trees is one of only a small number of respite homes that will receive this judgement, with only 13% of short-break-only children’s homes receiving Outstanding in the financial year ending March 2024.

This achievement is testament to the incredible dedication and hard work of our staff, who go above and beyond to provide exceptional care and support. Through ongoing training and professional development, our team continuously enhance their skills to ensure the highest standards of care for the children and families we support.

When reading the inspectors' report, we were bursting with pride and agree that “all children are celebrated” at Cherry Trees, reflecting our ethos of Child First Disability Second. Here are a few extracts from the report:

“Children are provided with exceptional care. They build secure and trusting relationships with staff, who make them feel valued and cherished.”

“Relationships between children and staff support the children to thrive.”

“Staff have a meticulous understanding of each child and how to tailor the support needed to meet their individual needs.”

We couldn’t be prouder of the positive progress we have made as a charity on our journey to Outstanding and are incredibly grateful to have such a passionate and skilled team. This achievement is not just a reflection of our staff’s hard work, but also of the trust and collaboration with the families we support and our wider community.
